Wheel Balance
If your car tires are out of balance it will cause a vehicle to vibrate at the of 50 and 70 mph. A tire is out-of-balance when one part of this tire is heavier than the others and it can cause a noticeable vibration in the steering wheel at about 55 mph. To balance a wheel our specialists mount it on a special machine which spins a wheel to find the heavier section. Then the heavier part will be corrected by attaching a lead weight on the opposite side. You will be enjoyably surprised with how smooth your car will drive after balancing.
A high quality tires will handle their balance fine and ebcome out of balance rarely. If during your driving you notice a vibration, there is a possibility that one of the lead balancing weights fell off. If you can feel the vibration in the steering wheel, the problem probably is in a front wheel. If the vibration feels mostly in the seat, the problem is more likely in the rear side.
If some vibration occurs after balance service, the problem may belong to locking wheel lugs. Some locking lugs can be heavier than the other lug nuts which give about 1/2 ounce at the wheel rim. In that case you can use a 1/2 ounce weight contradict the locking lug which usually solves the problem.
